WELCOME

Orsett Village Hall is situated at the junction of High Road and Mill Lane, Orsett, Essex, RM16 3HB.

​

Orsett Village Hall volunteer committee is dedicated to enriching the lives of the community by providing a large bright and airy hall with kitchen facilities, a bar room and stage area. Since being built in 1972, the village hall has been successfully run by trustees and a volunteer committee since.​ Our AGM is usually held in June. If you would like to join the Orsett village hall volunteer committee group please get in contact. 

 

Social groups, clubs and small business hire.

OPPORTUNITIES TO HIRE from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening.

The main hall is equipped with both air-conditioning and heating, measuring approximately 11 by 16 metres with a ceiling height of around 14 feet, and can accommodate up to 100 individuals. The adjoining car park has space for about 30 vehicles, further parking can be found just 6-7 minutes walk away by the village green.

Adjacent to the main hall is a fully equipped kitchen featuring a gas hob cooker with grill and 2 electric ovens. There are two fridge freezers, a microwave, and a double sink.

The hall itself is air-conditioned, offering a spacious, well-lit environment complete with a raised stage. Use of the kitchen is included in the hire of the main hall.

The bar room, updated in 2021, includes a serving hatch, double sink and 2 drinks fridges and caters to the main hall for a small, one-off additional fee for larger events.

Facilities also encompass accessible entry for disabled guests, restrooms for men, women, and disabled individuals, a baby changing station within the women's restroom, and a cloakroom.

Outside, there's a compact, fenced area with artificial turf for children's play, accessible upon request until 9pm when the hall is booked. This area is suitable for small bouncy castles, which must be anchored with weights.

The 'Frank Clayden Annexe' provides a meeting space for up to 20 people, complete with tables and chairs.
