WELCOME.

Orsett Village Hall is situated at the junction of High Road and Mill Lane, Orsett, Essex.

 

It is a large hall with kitchen facilities, a bar room and stage area, all built in 1972 and has been run by trustees and a volunteer committee since.

 

The Frank Claydon Annexe room was added in 2006 and was redecorated in September 2022, providing additional hire space for events, for meetings and small gatherings or classes.

 

Accessibility: The front entrance has an accessible push button entry door, wide enough for wheelchairs and double buggies. There is a separate disabled WC.

OPPORTUNITIES TO HIRE.

The hall measures approx. 11 x 16 metres with the capacity for 100 people and parking for 30 cars. Additionally, there is a fully fitted kitchen, a raised stage, a refurbished bar room in 2021, men's, ladies and disabled toilets, baby change table, cloakroom, Frank Clayden annexe room and a small, enclosed fenced astro-turfed outdoor play area for children. 

 

VOLUNTEERS

Orsett Village Hall is dedicated to enriching the lives of the local community in the Orsett area. Our volunteers work all year round to maintain the hall for the community and bring a range of activities to your doorstep.

The annual AGM is usually held in June and new members from the village community are welcome to join us, share views and come up with fund raising ideas for the hall charity.​

NEWS

We celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee where the community came together for a successful and enjoyable afternoon on Thursday 2nd June 2022.

In 2022 Orsett village hall celebrated 50 years serving the community where people from the local community celebrated with us on 17th December 2022. We enjoyed a children’s party in the afternoon with the entertainer Nicky Trix and an evening party event for adults.

Orsett village hall continues to grow and be the hub for recreational enrichment within the village.
