February 2022 committee meeting

The committee met to discuss hall matters.

It was agreed…

•Terms and conditions of hire state that there should be no parking on Mill Lane as this obstructs access. We decided that something more needed to be done as this was not always happening and so we have been trying to come up with a workable solution, that also allows for the grass to be trimmed by the council.

A potential solution has now been decided upon to stop any parking on the verge.

•A new website has been underway so that it is easier for the community to see all that is on offer to them from the great range of recreational activities and groups available.

•Last year, 2021, the Orsett WI kindly took up newly purchased curtains for the main hall. The curtains are up and continue to be used by hirers for privacy and to compliment the main hall with a modern feel. We are now looking to purchase some metal rings which will allow for easier opening and closing.
